We did it again!!!

INERTIA II and Team Inertia beat the hurricane, beat the winds and beat the competition to take 1st place at the 2012 World Championship Punkin Chunkin in Bridgeville, DE! Our last throw was a whopping 2688.37' a mere 49' short of the world record of 2737' set in 2006 by Bad to the Bone.

We left Colorado on Oct 27 and headed into the eye of the hurricane, literally! We hunkered down in Wheeling, WV most of the storm and avoided the winds and snow. We pulled into Bridgeville Thursday, not sure what we would find.

Luckily Sandy didn't totally destroy the field. Hard work by the, WCPCA and many teams undid the damage. The contest was completed in two days to allow the field to dry.

Our first throw was 2389.62 and second was 2284.68.Thanks to our stupendous team and the fans who came out on a very cold and windy weekend to support us! We seriously meet the greatest people at the Chunk. We also loved having Kari Byron from the MythBusters as our host! Very down to earth!
